I promise this is the last Yuletide Exchange post for this year.=)

My actual assignment:
Title: A Larrabee Christmas
Rating:General
Fandom:Sabrina (1954)
Pairing: Sabrina Fairchild/Linus Larrabee
Summary:SaSabrina Fairchild Larrabee looked around the ballroom in the mansion on the North Shore of Long Island. It was decorated for Christmas, just as it had always been. It was tasteful, elegant, lavish, and perfect.
Notes:Written for GreenRoses for Yuletide 2012.

Over at AO3 in the Yuletide collection

I was/am nervous about this fic. First one I've written in this fandom. It is less than a third the length of the treat I wrote before getting the assignment and I feel bad about that. I also feel a bit bad about using Sabrina as the POV character rather than the requested Linus but that was an optional detail. I have a hard time writing from a male perspective most of the time so of course I wrote Sabrina's POV. I thought it sweet and fluffy.

The fic I wrote first:
Title: Five Christmases Nick and Cassie Spent Together
Rating: Mature
Fandom: Push
Pairing: Nick/Cassie
Summary: Five glimpses into the life that Nick and Cassie had after the end of the movie. They go around the world taking down division and still finding a way to celebrate the holidays.
Notes: Written for Musesfool for Yuletide 2012. Contains underage sex. (Cassie is 17)

Over at AO3 in the Yuletide collection

So While waiting for my assignment, I went trolling the Dear YuleGoat letters and found Musesfool's letter. Her Push request lined up with the things I liked about the film and sparked something. So I wrote this and it kept getting longer. I was really excited to write for Musesfool since she had written some of my favorite Push fic as well as some Avengers fic I really liked.

Then the treat I wrote after I finished the other two:
Title: That's The Way You Need It
Rating:General
Fandom: The Losers
Characters: Jake Jensen, Jensen's sister, Jensen's niece
Summary:Jensen goes home for Christmas and has the family Christmas he needs to remind him why he does what he does.
Notes: Written for Smilebackwards for Yuletide 2012.

Over at AO3 in the Yuletide collection

I saw this go by on the pinch hit list and while I didn't even try to get the assignment I knew I could write something for this. So I wrote about my favorite aspect of Jake Jensen- that he is the world's most awesome uncle.

In general I enjoy writing fluff and at Yuletide I enjoy writing Christmas themed fluff so I did.
First let's start with my two very lovely gifties. They were two very different takes on the same prompt.

What's Your Number?
Be The Change
Colin lived in his apartment for almost four years before he ever said more than a “Hello,” or “Good morning,” to the girl in 6C, Allison Darling.

A very nice non linear telling of Colin's point of view of the events of the movie with some exploration of his past as it relates to why he is the way he is with women and how that changes with Ally.
Be aware that it is rated Explicit for a very good reason.

Someone Like You
Ally and Colin find a way through.

Colin and Ally continue their relationship in a very fun and sweet way. (With a lot of Colin walking around naked.) Rated Teen and up.

Now for my other recs-

Marvel's Avengers Movie RPF
A Spring Fling
New York City, where every weekend is marathons of Halo and the coming of the Thor baby.

Now I normally stay far, far away from RPF since I deem actors people and therefore entitiled to their privacy like any other person, but I have a soft spot for Chris Evans and when I read he was paired with Scarlett Johansson I had to read it. I'm glad I did since this is sort of cracky and fun and definitely charatures of the real people and not them themselves (but still totally with in what little we know of their personalities.)

AO3 Tags
The Bar at the End of the Fandom
PWP walks into a bar...

I seem to like me a good anthropomorphic fic and this is a good one. Somehow all the tags are in character if you ever imagined the tags to have characters. My only problem and it is a small one is the use of gender neutral pronouns. I pronounce words in my head as I read and when I get to words I don't know I make something up and "Hir" pronounces in my head like "her" so I get frustrated and think why don't they just use "His" and "her" already and avoid the confusion and frustration.

Push
Kick at the Darkness
Cassie and Nick go on a Division-sponsored road trip. Cassie kicks at a few things.

A very fun and adventurous road trip fic of Nick and Cassie's in which they finally get together while evading Division. Rated Mature for sex with an underage Cassie (she's like 17)

Love, Like an Hourglass
Love is like an hourglass, with the heart filling up as the brain empties.

This is glimpses of Cassie and how she sees Nick each year for the five years it takes to rescue her Mother. It is rated Explicit but no underage warning needed since she is 18 when they get together.

Knitting Anthropomorphic
There's Kinks in this Yarn, But It Still Knits Up Fine
The diary of a circular needle who just cannot STAND the thought of knitting another *(@#ing scarf. Luckily, KnitLife.com exists.

A very fun (and slightly porny) secret diary of a pair of knitting needles. My one draw back is the gender neutral pronouns. I pronounce words in my head as I read and when I get to words I don't know I make something up and "Hir" pronounces in my head like "her" and "sie" turns to "She" so I get frustrated and think why don't they just use "His" and "her" and "she" and "he" already and avoid the confusion and frustration.
Merry Christmas to everyone on my f-List. May you have a blessed day and may it continue into the new year.
So after the Grand Canyon we went along Route 66.

So since I last posted [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup and have finished the Epic Road Trip of 2012. It is getting to be so epic I think Bards will compose Sagas about it.

Picture heavy )
Yesterday we went to Sutro Heights, Cliff House and for an acidental 6 mile walk through Golden Gate Park. (We knew where we wanted to be but the roads didn't go like we thought and at one point we couldn't cross the road. We'd intended to catch a bus but couldn't get to thte stop so we kept walking and walking till we eventually got to a bus stop.) Then we went to the Powell street cable car turnaround and cAaught a cable car to the Cable Car Museum. Then got back on a cable car(the three day Clipper pass for Muni really came in handy- three days of unlimited bus, streetcar, and cable car rides) to Fisherman's Warf for dinner the third night in a row.

Me and [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup on the cable car. (The breakman was friendly and volunteered to take our picture at the end of the line. The Muni drivers and operators were nothing but dfriendly and helpful in keeping two tourists from getting too lost when we asked for directions.)
So I'm on Day 3 of the Great 2012 Road Trip with [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup. Currently we are in San Francisco.

Picture under the cut )
I made this last week while watching the Olympics. The fabric and buttons came from my stash. The lace was purchased specifically for this project. I had made the skirt and hat last year as apart of other outfits. (The reason for making this was the weather was going to be rather warm and I needed an evening bodice that wasn't the one for the ball gown or made of velvet for a First Friday where I was showing my Victorian Hats. Plus G.E.A.R. Con and Harvest fest are just over a week away and one new piece for the wardrobe would be nice.)

Just thought I'd check in to say I haven't completely dropped off the face of the earth.=)
I have come to the conclusion that I need a few icons and I can't find ones I like so I'm putting the request out there.

I require a Agent Phil Coulson being a badass icon, a Captain America shielding the Black Widow with his shield from fire icon (there is a clip in one of the trailers that has this shot), and a whole Avengers team icon.

I'll write a drabble for any icons.=)

Front (does the center block look familiar?)

Back

I finished this last week and took it to the premire.
Thank you so much for writing for me. I'm sure I will love whatever you write for me. I prefer het relatinships or general friendship in my fanfiction. I do prefer to avoid fics with partner betrayal, incest, and non-con (though dubious consent due to drugs, pollen, or alcohol is alright). If yu want to stalk me this is my main journal. My recent fic is here at AO3 but my older stuff is here at Twisting the Hellmouth or here at Fan Fictin .net

Otherwise the prompts are as they apear in the prompts.
Comment on this post with ‘I love libraries’ and I’ll give you seven things I want you to talk about. They may make sense or they may be totally random. Then post that list to your journal with your commentary. Other people can get lists from you and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.

Fanfic- I write and read it. I love it but I wish more of it was truly general or het. But I think is a good thing to get people that attached to a project. If I ever get a script filmed, I think I'd be flattered if fic existed fr it. (of course I'd be dissapointed if all it was was slash)

Springtime- I love springtime when the weather actually warms up and it stops raining. That is a rare thing here in Oregon. I love late spring when the roses bloom and the weather is warm enough for shorts. My birthday is in late May so spring is one of my favorite time.

SCA- I love the SCA. I've held offices in two local branches and been a deputy at the kingdom level. I'm a herald (if you play and need help with a name and device I can help depending on the culture of the name)and do both book and voice (I prefer court to town cry or field but I can do those too). I'm also a merchant of pottery. I've been my shire's Arts& Sciences defender with the pottery. I love history and playing pretend so to be someone else from a historic time is right up my ally. It is fun to be a Lady at court with Kings, Queens, and all the other ranks of nobility.

The Avengers- OMG!!!! SQUEEEEE!!! I. CANNOT. WAIT. Everything I see about it just makes me that much more excited. Of course my Avenger of choice is Captain America/ Steve Rogers so to hear that the movie has a lot of him trying to adjust t the 21st century makes me very happy. I have Fandangoed tickets for me, [livejournal.com profile] earcmacfithil, and [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup for the midnight show at one of the theater pubs in the area.

Writing- I did sme in high school but never wanted it to be my profession. I wanted to be an actress, but due to some advice I gt in college, I gave up on that dream. Then [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup got me writing fanfic and then I got into writing spec episodes of TV shows as a writing sample. Then I started writing original features. That then became my new dream. These days I get so many ideas that I fill blank books with ideas. often as I'm falling asleep I get a new idea and have to start writing.

Your first fandom- Buffy the Vampire Slayer Tea and Sympathy was my first fic I still play in the crossovers of that fandom with everything else.

Reality TV vs. Scripted TV - I prefer scripted TV to reality TV. The only reality TV I like are the compition shows like X-Factor, Dancing with the Stars, and the other actual compition shows or game shows (I love Wipeout) but other reality TV shows just take away jobs from people who actually understand story, character, and drama ie the writers and that is a shame.

This summer

is going to see me spend a lot of time at the movie theater. I'm not sure where I'll find the time but there are so many movies I need to see.
The Avengers (I'm sure I'll see it more than once)
Men In Black III
The Dark Knight Rises
Rock of Ages
The Expendables 2
Snow White and the Huntsman

1. Leave a comment to this post - specifically saying that you would like a letter.
2. I will give you a letter.
3. Post the names of five fictional characters whose names begin with that letter, and your thoughts on each. The characters can be from books, movies, or TV shows.

Since Nick Gant talks about running cons on people for money, I think it would be fabulous if he was somesort of former partner/boy toy of Sophie's and he comes back to have Leverage Consulting help run the con that takes down Division.
So spoilers ahoy for the films listed below. I think I mentioned the way I watch movies is to pick an actor (sometimes an actress but usually an actor) and watch down their filmography. Well I've almost worked down the whole Chris Evans catalog on Netflix.
Fierce People )
Street Kings )
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World )
Push )
Not Another Teen Movie )
Because I'm bored, I made a random poll. Not decernable reason but to have some fun.
Random Movie Poll below )
Since it's been awhile since I did one of these, I told [livejournal.com profile] kaitlia777 I'd play and was tagged with Captain America, Leverage, and Due South.

Tell me you want to play and I'll pick up to three of your fandoms. Then update your journal and answer the following questions:

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
