I made this last week while watching the Olympics. The fabric and buttons came from my stash. The lace was purchased specifically for this project. I had made the skirt and hat last year as apart of other outfits. (The reason for making this was the weather was going to be rather warm and I needed an evening bodice that wasn't the one for the ball gown or made of velvet for a First Friday where I was showing my Victorian Hats. Plus G.E.A.R. Con and Harvest fest are just over a week away and one new piece for the wardrobe would be nice.)



Just thought I'd check in to say I haven't completely dropped off the face of the earth.=)

Monday earcmacfithil (otherwise known as Nate) and I finally finished moving the pottery studio and finding places in the shed and on the porch to store it til we can get a shed built outback to be the new studio. We've been kind of enjoying the whole "CPRD is not my problem anymore" thing. This not having to deal with CPRD thing means more free time since we won't be making pottery, teaching classes, or hosting open studios.

What am I going to do with my free time, you ask. Write? nah. Clean the house? Maybe a little since we're hosting a meeting May. Sew? Hell yes. Am what am I going to sew, you ask. Quilts? probably. Medieval clothes? Maybe a T-Tunic for the man but other than that not really. A Bustle dress outfit? Hell yes. That's right. I've completely lost it and am making a chemise, drawers, corset, bustle petticoat, petticoat, underskirt, overskirt, and bodice for no other reason than I want to.
