The Rest of the Road trip part 1
Oct. 31st, 2012 10:42 pmSo since I last posted
jedibuttercup and have finished the Epic Road Trip of 2012. It is getting to be so epic I think Bards will compose Sagas about it.
We left San Fransisco on September 28 and made our way up to Sutter Creek to see the Gold Mine, except it was closed to tourists because it is a working mine. So we went to Black Chasm Cavern instead.

On the 29 we made our way over from Placerville, California to Tonopah Nevada. Sage Hen Pass was the highest pass we went through.

Then on the 30th we made it to Las Vegas after exploring the Tonopah Mining Park.

On October 1 we did the Hoover Dam Powerplant tour and then went to the Tournament of Kings show at the Excaliber (the hotel where we stayed).

The next day we explored the strip and saw the free shows out side of Treasure Island, The Mirage, and the Bellagio.

When we checked in in Vegas, I discorvered that I had only made a 3 night reservation rather than the four I thought so what were we going to do? We were only 4-5 hours drive away from the Grand Canyon so we went there.
