Ouchie ouch ouch

I should have known better than to wear high heels tonight. I haven't worn heels in two to three years and with my ankle still in the last phases of mending, I felt like I was going to retwist it any second. The toes pinched. The heel pinched and I felt every variation in the sidewalk. It hurt. But I had no more appropriate shoes to wear with the black wool slacks and dark purple angora sweater. I had to wear dark clothes as it was Ciaran's funeral. It was a lovely Episcopal service. Fully half the crowd or more was SCA. It was strange to see them (and in some cases hard to recognize) out of Medieval garb.
