(Some of things have been irritating me and piling up so I'm going to unburden myself all at once. Feel free to skip. I will be touching on such subjects as pottery, fanfic reviews, and idiots who insist on do construction at 6AM on weekends.)

So Pottery is a fustrarting art. So many things can go wrong between when you have a piece on the wheel you like and the time you take it out of the kiln to use. But all these pale in comparrison to what happened today. [livejournal.com profile] earcmacfithil and I took alot of our stuff to the Dundee Sunday Market, like we did last week. Last week we sold two pieces but didn't make booth fee, but it was really cold. This week it was in the upper seventies lower eighties and sunny. Plenty of people came by, admired the work, chated about it, and left. Not a single sale all day. Over 100 people stopped by our booth and not a single purchase. Nothing, not a beatiful red bowl with a crak in it, not a piece I drop, not even the days when I throw 25 pounds of clay and keep nothing off the wheel, irritates me like people who seem to be genuinely interested in a piece and handling it for a while and then placing it back on the shelf and leaving. UGHHHHH!!!!

Occaisionally I read fanfic over at FanFiction.net. Now I can ove look bad grammer, missing words, and even spelling mistakes (although it has to be really bad if I catch it. Just ask [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup or [livejournal.com profile] earcmacfithil) but the thing that bugs me most is people who plead for reviews. The one that drives me bonkers are the ones who say, 'I won't write the next chapter until I recieve Xnumber of reviews' or 'I got Xnumber reviews on the last chapter and here's who', or some varriation. Now I like reviews and I wish I'd get more than 3 or 4 on any given story but I don't write for the reviews. Reviews do make me smile but it isn't why I do what I do. Like my pottery praise is nice but it doesn't mean much if people don't back it up with actions. So people recomending my writting or actually using my pottery makes me happiest.

Now on to the construction idiots. I know I don't keep normal hours. I like to be up til 3AM so 6AM, I'm just getting to REM sleep. But really what the frell is anyone doing hammering and such like at 6AM on a Sunday? Oi!!!

Ok, I feel a bit better now. Thanks for letting me vent.=)

yeah I completely agree on people who seem to be making a purchase but never do *shakes fist*

Grr at people on fanfiction.net that is the main reason why I rarely read there, and if I do, I only read the complete ones because people drive me nuts. I have only ever written a couple for fanfiction.net. I had a few reviews which made me happy but the writing was purely for me at the time so I don't demand reviews hehe.

Stupid construction, it's the ridiculous traffic stopping, lack of sleeping fun of spring gah!

Hey is there a possibility that you could put some of your pottery online so I could see it?? I don't know if I'd be able to afford to buy any pottery as of right now, but I would love to see your work :D

The construction is just some minor remodeling a house on the other side of the one next to us but still hamering at that hour when it is warm enough to have windows open. GRRR.

My stuff is the small delicate stuff. [livejournal.com profile] earcmacfithil does the large stuff.
(I wasn't asking for any one online to purchase any of it just venting.)

I understand that you were venting and not looking for sales but still. :) I just adore your work. It must take such patience to create wonderful pieces that you have created :D Thank you so much for sharing those links!

I'm glad you like it. It takes more paitince than I usually have to make the work.

(I haven't taken pictures of my recent fanish work. I've started writing stuff with the Ancient alphabet *grin* I have a mug that says "Spacemonkey" in the Ancient Alphabet. But it hasn't been fired yet.)

It must be very frustrating to get so many 'window shoppers' - but hopefully they might remember your stuff and come back when they want to buy a nice gift for someone.

I have given up on FF.net for almost entirely the reason you're talking about.

I hope so too.

I get bored and FF.net is a last resort.
