Since [livejournal.com profile] earcmacfithil and I saw the Angel episode "A Hole in the World" last December we have been debating the "If a caveman and an astronaut got into a fight who would win?" He took the side of Angel and the Astronauts and I the side of Spike and the Cavemen. Well tonight I solved the riddle. They are the same particulairly in the case of Captain Samantha Carter, Colonel Jack O'Neill, and Dr. Daniel Jackson in an episode of Stargate SG1 called "The Broca Devide". SG1 travels in space therefor they are astronauts and in that episode they became cavepeople so the Cavemen and Astronauts are one and the same. End of debate.

Now if any one can tell what the frell "If you immediately know the candlelight is fire then the meal was cooked a long time ago." actually means, I'd be greatful.

Well, my love, this hardly settles it. This is an isolated example of a situation in which the two coverged. It's a far cry from the usual state of affairs during which cavemen and astronauts would confront each other. Even the CaveBuffy incident was unique.

As for the existential quote, a coworker suggested that it means that you were late for your candlelight dinner and your house burned down.
