Fandom Love

I let the one year anniversary of my being involved in both the Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel the series fandom and the Bones fandom go by. The first because I don't remember the exact day I first started watching Buffy. The second because of Frelling computer problems. So like Firefly a while back, name a character in either or both fandoms and I will tell you why I love that character.=)

I love Giles because he is a good surogate father not just to Buffy but her friends as well. I love the way that he starts out as a stiff goody twoshoes stodgy librarian and gradually becomes a cool equal as the Scoobies grow up.

Angel.

Angel is my favorite character in that fandom. Besides being so good looking that it should be criminal, Angel is so broody and noble. I dislike the direction he took the nobility on occasion but I loved his motives. I even love Dork!Angel.

Willow- I love early seasons Willow. She is so geeky, ackward and straight laced that I identify with her. LAter seasons Willow I'm not impressed with but I adore early (high school)Willow. She is loyal and dependible and funny.

I love Boothg because well like Angel he is just too good looking for his own good. But the thing that got me liking Booth better than Angel was the statement in "The Man in the Fallout Shelter", "Stop with the Christ mytrh thing some of us believe it is more than a myth." I loved that he stood up for his faith. (Even better that he seemed to share my faith.) I also loved the use of is in the staement, "Jesus is not a zombie." Booth has many of the same loveable characteristics of Angel. (Fighting for the right, being loyal, protective and strong) but also has less of the guilt thing and a quarter of the brood factor. I think that sums up Booth.
