The Pottery 9, Maeve 0
Sep. 3rd, 2006 04:50 pmToday has not been my day. While helping set up at the farmers market today, the 1and1/2 inch vase I keep in my purse fell out and broke into bits. Then I went to trim the sixteen luminaries and two broke (yes the clay can be recycled but I have a big show next week and every piece would be good). Then I went back to the Farmer's market to help ack up and on the way back to the studio two of
earcmacfitthil's vases broke. Then I tried to trim another five bowls three of which broke. So that brings the total of eight. So the two broken vases we brought into the studio and one of them sliced my hand (not badly or deeply but there was a few drops of blood). That brings the total to Pottery 9, Maeve 0.
The other lousy thing is that we had to markets and an evening show this weekend and sold a grand total of $55. That's right $55 in three shows. This is not good.

Date: 2006-09-04 01:21 am (UTC)I used to go to a lot of craft shows, but not so much anymore. Last year I did go to the juried Morris County show, which is one of the tops in the country. Mostly because I needed to replace my pocketbook. $300 dollars but worth every penny, the last one lasted my ten years. (Plus lots of special pockets that hold everything I have including a center zip compartment where I keep my bus and subway maps.)
