So I had a good weekend. I delivered on a pottery order that I had had since December. The order was to the current King of An Tir (of course said order was made long before he won the Crown Tournament). It was a gift to his Queen and they both loved it. It always makes me happy when people love the pottery I make.

I also got to do some court heraldry in Royal Court. I was able to herald [livejournal.com profile] aelfgyfu's offering of the Order of the Laurel. I also heralded another friends Order of the Goutte de Sange (second level service award). I like being able to be the Crown's voice to give my friends goodies.

Sunday, [livejournal.com profile] earcmacfithil and I took our pottery to the Dundee Farmer's Market. We sold enough to keep me in coffee and gas for the next week. We'll be back there this coming Sunday so hopefully I have good sales this week too.

I went into the studio to throw some more pots, and succeeded at throwing larger then normal. (For those of you who aren't familiar with my pottery let's just say a couple of pieces live in my purse. I usually throw minuatures.) So I was pleased with myself. It felt good throwing after a month brake.

Yep, I've been a potter for six and a half years now. I'm just to the point where I sell them. The pot in the icon is one of mine. click here (http://pics.livejournal.com/maevebran/gallery/0000a4kr) .These are more of my pots.

Nice stuff.

Did you know that I'm a miniatures collector (dollhouse 1/12 scale) and I love mini pottery. Yours are still a bit too big, shrink more!

I did not know that. The tiniest ihave made is a bowl about an inch wide and 3/4's an inch high. I don't think I can throw any smaller than that.

You are the first person to ever ask me to throw smaller.*grin* Usually it is 'I like this shape but do you have it bigger?' I sat laughing for a full two minutes because of it is so rare that someone gets the tiny pots idea. Yay! I'll see what I can do. Do you have a color preference/

How neat! I didn't know you did pottery (tiny or otherwise). Very exciting!

Also, the SCA made me giggle a bit. Everywhere I go, I meet more SCA people. My best gal pal was quite active for a time. I even went along to an event as a Viking. I only wanted to hang out with the boys who were practicing fighting skills. Give me an axe or a bow and stand back!! :D

The SCA, like this live journal and fanfic, is the fault of [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup. She wanted to play and drug me along and now she doesn't play that often but [livejournal.com profile] earcmacfithil and I are heavily involved. Infact my LJ user name is a modern english form of my SCA name. Cool abut the bow. I haven't started with any of the fighting yet.
