Bruce blearily stumbled into the kitchen. It had been a long night protecting Gotham and he had an early meeting. He sat at the counter and put his head down on his arms to rest his eyes.
“Here,” Buffy said while sliding a cup of coffee in front of him. Once the aroma hit his nostrils, Bruce perked up.
“What is that? It doesn't smell like the sludge Alfred usually fixes.” Bruce asked.
“That's because it isn't,” Buffy said as she grabbed a cup for herself and sat to him. “This is the stuff that Willow sent from Collumbia yesterday.”

Buffy looked around at the gaudily costumed people around her and wondered whose brilliant idea was this? She had to admire Bruce's choice in costumes for them tonight- 1930's era suit for him and a flapper dress for her. It was an ironic choice, Gotham's secret crime fighting duo were Bonnie and Clyde the notorious gangsters. This choice was also far more comfortable than that corseted number of that Halloween. She drained the glass of champagne she was holding before doing her duty by hobnobbing with Bruce's friends. It was a tough cover but someone had to do it.
