So you know what that means: MEME TIME!!!!

First up is snurched from- surprise surprise- [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup:
1. List your top 10 celebrity crushes.
2. Put all of them IN ORDER of your lust for them. (1-10, 1 being favorite)
3. Say which movie/show/thing it was that hooked you and when that was.
4. Supply photos for said people.

(I'm not going to mention the physical nature of why I find these men hot because that should be obvious. Also for those who haven't figured it out yet once I like an actor, actress, writer, or director I tend to watch as much of the work they've done that I can get my hands on so opinion is not limited to the role listed.)

1. Michael Shanks- Dr.Daniel Jackson on Stargate SG1.
While my love for the character is strong, I also appricate the actor's talents. He is rather hot to look at but I have watched a significant portion of his filmography and have appriciated his acting in almost all of it. (I wouldn't exactly say I enjoyed all of it because well Suspicous River and the psychotic brutele rapist is not a part to actually enjoy watching.)

2. Orlando Bloom - Will Turner in Pirates of the Carribbean the Curse of The Black Pearl.
I also loved him as Legolas but my problem is that the actor looked younger than me by the time the films were released and I like my men older than me. I also have watched most of Mr. Bloom's filmography and enjoyed all of what I've seen but Kingdom of Heaven has to be my favorite after the Pirate triolgy of course.

3.David Boreanaz- Angel on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I love the broody Vampire with a soul. I'm a sucker for an angsty love story. But as much as I love Angel, I love Special Agent Seeley Booth more. Not just because the man looks really good in a suit but because I love the struggle of his past and his faith against the relentless logic of Brennan.

4. Hugh Jackman- Woolverine in the X-Men.
I love that he can play the comic book superhero, the modern leading man and the historical romantic hero.

5. Nathan Fillion- Captain Malcom Renyalds on Firefly.
I love the sense of humor that Nathon Fillion injects in to most of his roles, even as Caleb on Buffy there was bit of it even if it fel creppy. I will admit to watching some truely b- movies just because he was in them. Silther and Waitress come to mind. (What is it about Canadian actors and b-movies?)

6.Paul Gross- Constable Benton Frasier on Due South
A man in a pretty red uniform- sure that is Frasier but Paul Gross is so much more talented than that. The man writes and directs and sings and writes songs. One of the truely funniest and cazy movies I've ever seen is Men With Brooms in which Mr. Gross acted, wrote, directed, wrote a song, and sang on the sound track. I love the song, "Kiss You 'Til You Weep."

7.Johnny Depp- Pirates of The Carribbean The Curse of the Black Pearl
I had never seen Johnny Depp in anything til Pirates but I was aware of who he was. Captain Jack Sparrow captured my imagination with his zanyness and so i had to watch and aquire most of Mr. Depp's filmography. I admire the way that no two characters are alike either in time, place, or wackiness. He truely has a wide range and I like that.

8.Christian Bale- Theodore Lawerence in Little Women
I have long loved Christian Bale. He was my first actor crush. I loved the book Little Women and when I saw the movie I made my parents stay so i could see who played Laurie so I could see what other movies he had done. Turns out a lot of really good movies are in his filmography.

9. David Wenham- Faromir in The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers.
He has a truely interesting range of movies. From Lord of the Rings to The Crocodile Hunter and from Better Than Sex (which is a very good movie if you don't mind an R raiting) to Van Helsing.

10.Gerard Buttler- The Phantom in The Phnatom of the Opera
He also has an interesteing filmography but with a Scotish accent and a tuely amazing singing voice I don't think I have to say much more.

4. I know the part you mean. He also did Oklahoma in London and I have seen bits of it on PBS so he too has a great singing voice and wonderful accent.

Good picks. I think Gerard Butler also starred in Beowulf And Grendel. And looked pretty hot there, too. Maeve, if you haven't seen it, it's very good, but I did curl up and hide my eyes during one violent part.

Where's Viggo Mortensen? :)

earc is huntig for the Beowulf and Grendel for me. Almost got it from Canada last year but then heard it was coming out here in the US and I don't know where it stands now.

There wasn't room for Viggo. If it had been a top 15 Sean Bean would have been 11, Viggo probably 12, Mathew McConghey 13, Ben Browder 14, and Jason Issacs 15.

The Beowulf and Grendel movie is available at Walmart!

(Ninian found it about six, no, more than that, months ago. Or you could borrow ours. We got it after renting it, and I haven't even got round to unwrapping it from the plastic shrinkwrap stuff yet.)
