1 - Tell you why I friended you.

You were a friend of [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup and when I checked your user info it said you were a Christian and aspiring screenwriter so I thought we'd share a lot in common.

2 - Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, a sexual position, etc. (Or, not)

I associate you with CSI and Stargate SG1 fandoms strangely enough.

3 - Tell you something I like about you.

I like how you are very open with your faith.

4 - Tell you a memory I have of you.

Right now the memories I have of you are of you cheering me on with my writing project. It makes me have a little more confidence to know you are going through the same struggles with plots, act endings, and the possiblity of agents.=)

5 - Associate you with a character/pairing.

I associate you with Jack O'Neill

6 - Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

What does your user name mean and how did you choose it?

7 - Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.

Hee, strangely enough.

I like how you are very open with your faith.

Wow, thank you. Sometimes I worry that I'm not open enough. :-)

You associating me with Jack makes me happy.

What does your user name mean and how did you choose it?

"Izhilzha" is a (more) phonetic spelling of the Minbari word "isil'zha," meaning "birth, beginnings, the dawn of a new age." It's from a made-up language on the show Babylon 5, which I was really into about the time I started getting involved in online fandom. I actually first used it to register on a fansite, and then realized how much I loved the meaning and that the spelling was unique on the 'Net, so I kept it. :-)

It sounded vaguely Minbari. I loved B5 too. (We have it on DVD since I only saw parts of season 4 when it aired.) It does have a nice meaning.=)

Oh, you're a fan! :-) Yeah, "isil'zha" is what they call the stone set in the Ranger insignia pin. (I'm such a geek. I loved that show like crazy. Have you read one of the tie-in novels, To Dream In The City of Sorrows? It's fantastic, you should try to get a copy if you haven't.)

My levels of geekyness know no bounds. [livejournal.com profile] earcmacfithil and I met at a Star Wars movie night and our first date was to Star Trek First Contact. We are huge geeks. He was the one who introduced me to B5. He thought your name was Minbari too.

I have not read any of those tie ins. I'll put it on a list.

I was a huge fan of D'lynn and Sheridan. The "woohoo" episode was great fun.=)
