Interesting Day
May. 6th, 2006 01:51 amSo Earc and I went and saw Mission Impossible 3. It was great. It haad about twice the number of explosions of the last one. (This made Earc happy. He likes explosions.) Then I went to dance practice. I do Medival, Rennaisance, and English Country dance on friday nights. So from MI3 to Medival dance in one day.

Wasn't impressed. I have to be a little fair: this is not a genre of movie that does much for me. I find action flicks far too predictable, and far to unbelievable. This one had a few plot twists that brought a little interest to an exceptionally standard story line, so I can't knock it too hard. But the little things - like the ability to create a convincing lifelike mask in about 5 minutes - start to niggle at me. I left feeling like the major take-away from the movie was "if you run really really fast and do a lot of ducking and rolling around, no bullet will ever hit you, explosion scorch you, or shard of glass cut you." A good life lesson, I suppose.
