I'm having an intersting year so far.

And we're only two days in.

Yesterday earcmacfithil and I proved why we are geeks. We went to OMSI (the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) for the final day of the Star Wars exhibit. They had props, models, and costumes from all six movies. There were vids that went with some of the stuff that had some of the effects dudes talking about how they came up with the effects. There were also things that explained real life conter parts and how some of the tech in the movies weren't that far off. There was a 15 minutes video and animatronic presentation. (I must say that the female robotisist they had doing the vid portion was rather well spoken and had a grasp of acting. I get annoyed when they get experts in their fields but have no idea how to relate to the camera. This lady knew what she was doing in regards to the camera as well as with the robotics.)

This morning I had jury duty orentation. I'm on call for January, February and March. (Oh yipee.) I had to be at the county courthuose at 8AM. (Which for those of you who know me, know that I prefer to go to bed at 4AM and get up around noon.) So I went to bed at 10:30pm last night and intended to get up at 5AM with earcmacfithil only his cell decided to chirp that it was out of power at 4:30AM and there was no going back to sleep.

Sure but this journal is mostly fannish in anture with the occaiasional SCA stuff. The first Weekend in March is An Tir Kingd0om Arts and Sciences and it is being held in Newberg (Sort of half way between Portland and Salem) Where in Portland are you moving to?

Ah the Barony of Three Mountains. But you don't have to play there if you don't want. We have two Baronies and two Shires in the greater Portland area and are pretty flexible about playing where you feel at home not nescisarly by your zip code.=)
