This and That
Nov. 25th, 2006 09:46 pmYesterday I went over to
jedibuttercup's. We saw The Prestige. It was good but very very creepy. Then we downloaded the two episodes of Stargate SG1 from iTunes I had not seen. So I have now seen all 204 episodes since mid August. Yeesh.
Driving home I got pulled over in the little town of Amity. The cops there are over zealous. I got a $170 ticket. (I was apparently going 45 in 30 zone. I thought I was past the 30mph zone but I guess not.) I can go into court in a few weeks and get driving school and have the ticket expunged from my record. I think I will do that option so my insurance doesn't go up. But still it sucks.
Today,
earcmacfithil is firing the Veragama wood kiln. It was a couple hundred degrees from the goal when last I checked. (The goal is 1300C and it was 1032C an hour or so ago. ) It will probably be midnight before it gets shut down.

Date: 2006-11-26 07:16 am (UTC)Pretty much. When it hits tempreture the hubby will quit putting more wood into the kiln and seal it up. Think of the kiln like a giant wood stove that needs to be feed wood every thirty seconds or so for about 15 hours straight to reach tempreture. Once tempretre is reached you can quit feeding it wood.
I wish I had more rum. I finished off the rum last night once I got home. I'll have to get more on monday.

Date: 2006-11-27 04:09 pm (UTC)And that sucks about the ticket. I think there are weeks they look at thier income for the month and go "Oops - need to write more tickets".

Date: 2006-11-27 10:20 pm (UTC)That is something we try to do weekly (hang out not go to the movies). Hey try to get a job here in Oregon you could hang out with both of us.=)
Amity is a twon of maybe a couple of thousand at most, and it does have a reputation for cops trying to catch people speeding on HWY99. I ususally tr to obey the speed limit through Amity rigorously. But for some reason Friday I wasn't paying attention.=(

Date: 2006-11-27 10:35 pm (UTC)And I can understand that one little slip up that leads to a ticket. I just got one a few months ago - my first in 11 years - for making a U on red, which I honestly had NO idea I had done. *facepalm*
