New chapter for Spy Cats is up - http://agentsofmeow.blogspot.com/2016/04/meanwhile-back-at-ranch.html

I'm holding at 95% better but now Nate has caught it and is staying home from work. I made it to the gym yesterday for yoga instead of bellydance with Mindy. Then I went to Zumba today. Even doing three-quarters effort was more than enough. I got home and my fitbit told me only 1,750 more steps to the 10,000 so after checking on the sick hubby I went for a walk. 16 years I've lived in this house and I've never been to the boat ramp and park less than a half mile away. I got to the top of the hill down to the boat ramp and park and my fitbit told me I'd reached my goal. I turned around since it was getting on toward late twilight and if I went all the way down and up it would be dark before I got home. I will be going back that way soon.

Yep, it's called Roger's Landing and used to be the main landing point for goods and people for all of Newberg. You could catch the boat into Portland from there. I knew it was somewhere around but not exactly where until last night.

Oh, is that the little park right there where you turn right off the highway? I've never stopped there; is it worth a visit?

... Kind of like I've never really seen any of the sights in Salem, even though it's fifteen minutes from my house. I really should visit the art museum and walk through the park around the capitol building sometime. :)

No, that's Hoover Park which is worth a visit when all the flowers are in bloom (or it is snow covered and you have an intertube). Rogers' Landing is where River Street ends at well the river just past 13th street. To get to the boat landing you turn at the Highway by Hoover Park and keep going past the turn to our house and keep going straight. It will cross the railroad tracks by the end of the paper mill and curve around the mill and go down hill and end at the boat ramp. There are apparently three or so blocks tucked back by the paper mill.
