Twilight thoughts.

jedibuttercup and I went and saw Twilight on Sunday. I was prepared to hate it but strangely found myself liking it. I will probably in the next week or so drag earcmacfithil to see it. (I have yet to read the books.)

I had issues though and I will elaborate

1. The expression on Edward's face when he meets her. I get that he was uncomfortable because she smelled like the tastiest food ever to him but that look was a wee bit odd.

2. I don't care if you just ate and are stuff, if vampires have bothered to cook for you, you eat at least some of what is put in front of you. I mean come on they were being nice and to throw it in their face is asking to become their meal.

3. What was with all the toe pointing everytime Alice threw a pitch in the baseball game? First time or two it was pretty and poeticall but every time? Really?

4. I heard he sparkles before hand so I was expecting something really grand and was dissapointed. If one has to have sparklely vampires one shouuld commit to it all the way and SPARKLE more then the crystal chandelier in The Phantom of the Opera. I'm just saying have the courage to SPARKLE with gusto.

5. What the heck was her reason for loving him and being fascinated before he saved her life? I can see it after he stopped the van from crushing her but she had developed some serious crush feelings with no explination before that. His motives I get. She is a pretty human, who smell like his dream meal, and of all the noise of other people's thought's she is quiet so he doesn't have to be inundated when in her presence. Not to mention the fact that he has to work to know what she is thinking (if anything) and feeling.

I will say this for the Cullens, they are a pretty bunch of vampires and if any should sparkle it should be them. Not to mention that finally a smart group of vampires to live in the Pacific NorthWet, what with all the cloud cover and thunderstorms (the better to play Vampire Baseball in). I will say this for the Buffyverse Vampires, there were large concentrations in sunny areas where they couldn't go out in the day. At least with all the rain we get up here the sun is not so much an issue.



All in all I agree with jedibuttercup's statement when the credits rolled,"That was some high quality crack."

I love it. That was some high quality crack. That is totally the best way to describe it. And I agree, he shoulda sparkled more. Maybe we'll get more sparkle with the next one, when they have more of a SFX budget.
